General Osteopathic Council
The council regulates the practice of osteopathy in the United Kingdom. It works with the public and osteopathic profession to promote patient safety by registering qualified professionals, and setting, maintaining and developing standards of osteopathic practice and conduct. By law osteopaths must be registered with them in order to practise.
British Osteopathic Association (BOA)
The association is an independent organisation representing osteopaths working both within the NHS and privately all over the United Kingdom. The BOA works with and supports its members in providing the highest standards of patient care and excellence in osteopathic practice through CPD workshops, articles and email bulletins on developments both within the osteopathic and wider medical and health environments.
