Case History 1
Alan Beadle of Saffron Walden
As many of the BNI members will recognise, two weeks ago I was able to make a passing resemblance to Quasimodo having been stricken with a stiff neck of epic proportions. This happens on a regular basis about every five to six years so I recognise the signs. The is a stiffening of the neck which gradually increases in severity to the extent that I am unable to look either left or right without moving my whole body. The stiffness is accompanied with pain of such severity that makes one dread waking up in the night as turning over in bed is nothing short of excruciating.
Having experienced treatment by various chiropractors and Osteopaths in the past I have ton admit, the prospect of being manipulated with the resulting cracks did not appeal to any significant degree. It is amazingly difficult ton relax in a situation when you know the end result of the gentle rocking from side to side is a click that sounds like a pistol shot in your ears.
“I would heartily endorse Hazel, both for her sympathetic and subtle approach, but more importantly for the radical result she achieved for me in such a short space of time. ”
Mr Alan Beadle
But Hazel is different. Her approach was a revelation and amazingly subtle to the extent that at times, on the treatment table, it would have been very easy to drift off to sleep. In fact, it was hard to imagine that restorative treatment was in fact, taking place. However, the effectiveness of Hazel’s work meant that after the last session, reversing out of the drive, I turned round and could actually look over my shoulder, and see out of the back window for the first time since I can remember. One interesting side effect of the cranial osteopathy is that my sleeping pattern is greatly improved.
I would heartily endorse Hazel, both for her sympathetic and subtle approach, but more importantly for the radical result she achieved for me in such a short space of time. Moreover I would encourage all members of Gateway to Business ton take up Hazel’s suggestion of an MOT test and not wait for the time when in extremis and emergency treatment is needed. When I couldn’t turn at all I really did turn to Hazel Williams!
Case History 2
Mandy Beaumont of Bishops Stortford
I first discovered Hazel's treatments following a car accident where I sustained nasty whiplash and despite many months worth of physio was still suffering a reduction of movement and repeated 'slip backs' every few months to severe pain in the neck/head/upper shoulder region. I decided it was worth trying something a little different. After the initial session it was obvious Hazel was able to do something that other treatments had been unable to address and I immediately had increased mobility; after only a few treatments the pain had pretty much disappeared and I was able to take up my normal yoga practice again and look after my body myself.
“I have to stop myself sounding slightly evangelical when I talk about the treatments I have received from Hazel's practice”
Mandy Beaumont
When, sometime later, I was recovering from repeated surgery following removal of a tumour in my face, I unexpectedly discovered how Hazel's work could also help me with this. To experience the cranial aspect of these treatments working in such a subtle way; opening up channels and networks within the body's fascia (as well as the more obvious bones, nerves, muscles etc) has been amazing. I have to stop myself sounding slightly evangelical when I talk about the treatments I have received from Hazel's practice - until you have experienced them for yourself it is difficult to imagine what it is possible to achieve.
Case History 3
Jo Bonsor of Takeley
Dear Hazel,
Milo came to you for several sessions when he was about 9 years old. I was recommended to bring him to you because he was such a quiet introverted character and was finding
school a struggle. Milo had about 6 treatments and there was no instant change in him, although for a very tense child who hated physical contact it was reassuring to see
him so relaxed during treatments - on several occasions he fell asleep! Anyway it is only with hindsight that we can say that his improvement since the treatments has been
noticeable. In his final two years at primary school he made large leaps in his learning, leaving with good level 4's in his SATS which is better than was expected. He has
continued this growth and is now a very able student, very committed and hardworking but also much more successful than we could have hoped for. He is predicted very good
grades for his GCSE's next summer and whilst he is still a reserved character he is a little more outgoing and more importantly he believes in himself.
"At first I was quite sceptical about the benefits of cranial osteopathy in a child of his age" – "Now I truly believe that the treatment Hazel administered helped Milo and released his talent"
Jo Bonsor
I was quite sceptical about the benefits of cranial osteopathy in a child of his age but looking through your textbooks convinced me that it could help Milo. He was a big baby at birth, his head was stuck in the birth canal brow facing and he had to be delivered by emergency cesarean. I had also had a minor fall in the last few weeks of pregnancy. All these facts were identified as pointers in the textbooks you shared with me. I truly believe that the treatment you administered has helped Milo and has released his talents. Many thanks Hazel, we wish you continued success.
Case History 4
"I was in agony and the pain relief medication made no difference but after the first osteopathic treatment I noticed a vast improvement" – "I find it a lot easier to move around now"
Mrs. Richards
Mrs Richards, aged 71 of North London
Mrs. Richards had been experiencing pains from her right thigh to her calf and leg. Standing, walking and sitting for any length of time was a problem. She suffered frequently from joint aches and pains and the last time she had back pain it lasted three months. She had rheumatic fever in her late teens and again in her early thirties. An x-ray shows marked wear and tear (OA) in different areas of her spine. She had been given pain relief medication for her leg pain, but it made no difference and after four weeks of agony she came to see me. I treated her three times and after just the 1st treatment, there was marked improvement in pain relief and mobility. The other treatments were spent improving the alignment of her joints and ligaments and giving her advice on exercise and lifestyle. She now has a check-up/treatment once a month to maintain her healthier lifestyle.
